Mercato: a young PSG midfielder heads to OL
Not convinced by PSG's offer of a trainee contract, young midfielder Mahamadou Diawara (18) is set to leave Paris for OL, where a pro contract awaits him.
Not a regular in Zoumana Camara's U19 team, Paris midfielder Mahamadou Diawara (18) is set to leave PSG, who offered him a trainee contract. According to Le Parisien, the left-footed player born in 2005 will sign his first pro contract with OL this Monday, for a period of three years, with a further year as an option.
OL to pay PSG 270,000 euros for Mahamadou Diawara
According to L'Equipe, who reported on the matter three days ago, this departure is not considered a failure by PSG, where competition is fierce at the training center in this sector of the game. For their part, Lyon are said to have convinced the player by promising to integrate him into Laurent Blanc's professional squad next season. According to L'Equipe, Lyon will have to pay PSG a training fee of around €270,000 to acquire the young player.
On his social networks, Mahamadou Diawara bid farewell to PSG this weekend: "After 5 seasons with this wonderful club, it's time for me to turn the page and start a new chapter. Finally, I'd like to thank all my team-mates for all the unforgettable moments we've shared over the years!" he posted.
