Mercato: Alvaro Morata extends his contract at Atlético Madrid
Having reached the end of his contract at Atlético Madrid until 2024, Spanish striker Alvaro Morata has extended his contract until 2026, according to the Spanish press.
Alvaro Morata, scorer of 15 goals in 45 appearances for Atlético Madrid this season, signed a two-year extension on Friday morning, until June 2026, according to Marca, confirmed by AS and Relevo. The Rojiblanco club has not yet announced the news.

The 30-year-old Spanish striker had been rumoured to be in the sights of Juventus and AC Milan for the summer transfer window, but will remain with Los Colchoneros in the end. According to Marca, his salary has been revised downwards, but other sources state that he could earn more or less the same as before, depending on certain bonuses.
