Should the Hammers accept this offer, Declan Rice would become the most expensive British player in Premier League history in terms of transfer fee. Manchester City may not have said their last word, however, and could come back to the table in the next few hours.
According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham are waiting for Manchester City to make a bid before responding to Arsenal's offer. In any case, the English vice-champion is confident and Mikel Arteta is pushing hard to convince the player to choose his club over that of his compatriot Pep Guardiola.
