Mercato: Bayern Munich also thinking about Rabiot
In search of a new striker and defensive midfielder in the upcoming mercato, Bayern Munich is thinking about Adrien Rabiot, who is at the end of his contract at Juventus on June 30, according to German press.
A new name for Bayern Munich's summer mercato, which looks very eventful after the failed season of the Bavarian club, on the verge of losing its German championship title (Dortmund is two points ahead with one day to go) and eliminated from the German Cup and the Champions League.
Among the priorities of Bayern Munich this summer is the recruitment of a new striker to finally replace Robert Lewandowski, who left last summer for Barcelona and has not been replaced until now.
Bayern wants a striker and a defensive midfielder this summer
On Tuesday evening, SportBild confirmed Bavarian interest in Randal Kolo Muani (Eintracht Frankfurt) and Harry Kane (Tottenham) while revealing that the Argentine world champion Julian Alvarez, who recently extended his contract at Manchester City until 2028, was also being pursued.
In addition to a new number nine, Bayern Munich will also look to recruit a defensive midfielder this summer. And still according to SportBild, Adrien Rabiot appeals to the German club, which is also tracking Declan Rice (West Ham) and Mateo Kovacic (Chelsea). The 28-year-old French international is at the end of his contract at Juventus on June 30 and is also in the sights of <a href=/news/mercato-manchester-united-is-going-after-adrien-rabiot>Manchester United.
Bayern are interested in Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who will be a free agent this summer. Bayern already had their eye on Rabiot back in 2019. The player's mother/agent wants an increase on his current salary (around €7m net per year) [@cfbayern, @altobelli13] pic.twitter.com/cioDbzLKin

With the Old Lady well on their way to not playing in the next Champions League following their new 10-point penalty, a departure this summer for Rabiot is credible and Bayern could be an interesting destination for the Duke. This will have to satisfy his mother and representative, who hopes for a salary increase for her son, whose emoluments are currently estimated at 7 million euros net per year in Turin.
