Mercato: Chelsea and Manchester United reach agreement for Mason Mount
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Chelsea for the transfer of English midfielder Mason Mount. The transfer is valued at 70 million euros.
The big sell-off continues at Chelsea. After selling Mateo Kovacic to Manchester City, Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly to Saudi Arabia, Kai Havertz to Arsenal and N'Golo Kanté to Al-Ittihad, the London club has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of Mason Mount.
Mount to cost Manchester United €70m
The 24-year-old England international had just one year left on his contract with the Blues and had been keen to join Manchester United for several weeks. After three rebuffed bids, the Red Devils finally convinced the Blues with a €70 million offer (including €5.7 million in bonuses), according to The Athletic.

Another fine sale for Chelsea, and a major recruitment coup for Manchester United, who have attracted a versatile, relatively young player with Premier League experience. Mason Mount will commit himself to the Manchester club until June 2028, with a further year as an option.
