Mercato: Di Maria makes his Juventus departure official
Like Leandro Paredes yesterday, Angel Di Maria made his departure from Juventus Turin official on Tuesday, just one year after his arrival.
Angel Di Maria and Juventus are already over. After arriving in Turin last summer on the expiry of his contract with PSG, El Fideo had a decent season with the Old Lady on an individual level (8 goals and 7 assists in 40 games played), but the Italian club were not totally convinced, and opted not to extend his contract, which expires on June 30.
"I'm leaving with the peace of mind of having given everything I had"
On Instagram, Di Maria confirmed his departure on Tuesday: "This is the end of a difficult and complicated period. I'm leaving with the peace of mind of having given everything I had to help the club continue to win titles, but it wasn't possible. I leave with the bitter taste of not having succeeded, but with the happiness of taking with me many friends from the wonderful dressing room of which I was a part. Thanks to all my team-mates for the affection they've shown me from day one, I've always felt at home. A big hello to all the Juventinos for the affection they show me every day. I give you all a big hug, you're in my heart."

And now what? Aged 35, the Argentinian world champion is being courted in Saudi Arabia, and his former club Benfica are also dreaming of snapping him up. Di Maria has also been linked with Galatasaray and Barça recently.
