Mercato Flamengo : Sampaoli recruits a former LOSC player
Former LOSC striker, Luiz Araujo will leave Atlanta United this summer to join Flamengo, the Brazilian club coached by Jorge Sampaoli.
Trained at Saõ Paulo FC before joining Lille in the summer of 2017 for more than 10 million euros, Brazilian winger Luiz Araujo (26) will return home. After two seasons in MLS at Atlanta United (13 goals in 60 games), the Brazilian winger has agreed with Jorge Sampaoli's Flamengo for a contract until December 2027.
Information revealed by the Rio club on its Twitter account. Flamengo also announced that it has reached an agreement with Atlanta United and the MLS. According to the Brazilian media GloboEsporte, the agreement was found to 9 million euros.

This is the first recruit of Sampaoli at Flamengo. Appointed on April 15 as head of the Carioca club, the Argentine has had a mixed start. He has managed 10 matches so far with a record of 5 wins, 3 losses and 2 draws.
