Mercato: Lens to buy Andy Diouf for €15m
After a great season with FC Basel, who bought him from Rennes a few days ago, Andy Diouf (20) will continue his career with RC Lens.
The mercato for RC Lens, reigning French vice-champion, is hotting up. Seko Fofana is close to joining Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, and Andy Diouf is set to replace him and fill out a midfield already strengthened by the recent free signing of Stijn Spierings from Toulouse.

Andy Diouf is expected to cost €15m, including bonuses, to the Sang et Or, who reached an agreement with FC Basel on Wednesday, according to L'Equipe. A 20-year-old left-footed central midfielder trained at Rennes, Andy Diouf is set to sign for Lens until 2028, according to Foot Mercato.

Andy Diouf, who made 57 appearances for Basel last season, was on loan from Rennes and was bought for €5.5m by the Swiss club on May 2. According to L'Equipe, OM were also interested in him, but will ultimately sign the experienced Geoffrey Kondogbia (30), who plays in the same position.
