A versatile attacking player, Szoboszlai has a €70 million release clause, which expires on Friday June 30. However, there's nothing to stop the two clubs reaching an agreement beyond this date, at a similar or different price, but one that will be high in any case.
Fabio Carvalho to Leipzig, Szoboszlai to Liverpool?
According to The Athletic, Newcastle are no longer in the running, so the way is clear for the Reds. According to Sky Sports journalist Melissa Reddy, always well-informed about Liverpool, Szoboszlai has decided to join the Reds and the deal is well underway.
Liverpool and Leipzig have also agreed in recent hours to loan promising Portuguese attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho (20) to Germany. A ready-made replacement for Szoboszlai?
