Mercato Lorient: Nice agree with Régis Le Bris
In their search for a new coach to succeed Didier Digard, OGC Nice have reached an agreement with Régis Le Bris, who enjoyed a fine season on the Lorient bench.
OGC Nice have finally found their new coach. According to RMC Sport, the Côte d'Azur club has reached an agreement with FC Lorient coach Régis Le Bris. The Nice board had been considering other possible candidates, but Fabrice Bocquet (Nice CEO, formerly of Lorient) and Florent Ghisolfi (Nice DS, formerly of Lens) finally managed to convince INEOS to invest in Régis Le Bris, who enjoyed a remarkable first season in Ligue 1, finishing in 10th place.
Régis Le Bris under contract until 2027
However, the deal is not yet a done deal for the Gym, who will have to come to an agreement with FC Lorient, just a few months after stealing their striker Terem Moffi after long and bitter negotiations. Les Merlus extended and upgraded Régis Le Bris's contract last March, and will now demand a transfer fee for their coach, under contract until 2027.

According to RMC Sport, Lorient president Loïc Féry is not about to let this happen, and Nice will probably have to write a large cheque. No amount has yet been announced.
