Mercato LOSC : Paulo Fonseca has a touch in the Premier League
Under contract with LOSC until June 2024, Paulo Fonseca has caught the eye of West Ham according to the English press.
Fifth in Ligue 1 after 31 games, LOSC could lose their Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca this summer. According to The Guardian, West Ham has chosen the name of the Dogues' coach to replace David Moyes, who is not expected to be retained at the end of the season.
Quarter finalist of the Europa League Conference, the London club has indeed a bad season in the Premier League and is in 15th place after 30 games played. Paulo Fonseca had already been courted by West Ham in 2018 and his profile would still appeal to the decision makers of the Hammers.
Potter and Rodgers also appeal to West Ham
According to The Guardian, two other coaches are on West Ham's list for next season: Graham Potter, recently fired from Chelsea, and Brendan Rodgers, recently fired from Leicester City.
Paulo Fonseca has never coached in the Premier League before, but has managed Porto, Braga, Shakhtar Donetsk and AS Roma. His name had also been linked with Tottenham in the summer of 2021, but Spurs preferred to replace Jose Mourinho with Nuno Espirito Santo.
