Mercato: Nice has found its new coach
A free agent since leaving Alanyaspor in February, promising young Italian coach Francesco Farioli (34) is set to succeed Didier Digard on the OGC Nice bench.
OGC Nice are on the verge of appointing Francesco Farioli to their bench, after a long period of pursuit of Régis Le Bris, who Lorient insisted on keeping. The name of this 34-year-old Italian coach may not ring a bell, but he is highly regarded in Italy and Turkey.
Formerly Roberto De Zerbi's goalkeeping coach at Benevento and then Sassuolo, Francesco Farioli was assistant to Alanyaspor before becoming number 1 at Karagümrük and then Alanyaspor (Turkish D1), which he finally left last February.
Francesco Farioli to sign 2-year contract with Nice
Francesco Farioli was rumoured to be interested in a move to Genoa Sampdoria, who eventually opted for Andrea Pirlo, but is now set to sign for OGC Nice, according to Le Parisien. Information confirmed by RMC Sport and Nice-Matin.
✅ Selon les informations du Parisien, confirmées par RMC Sport, Francisco Farioli devrait, sauf retournement de situation, devenir le prochain coach du Gym. L’officialisation pourrait même avoir lieu ce week-end.
