Aged 17 years and measuring 1m94, Marcao has seduced the coaches of the Lyon reserve team, as well as the director of the OL training center. The player from Resende, a Brazilian club partner of OL, will sign for Lyon next year and should initially play with the Lyon reserve.
According to L'Equipe, several Brazilian clubs were interested in Marcao after his good performance in the Guanabara Cup for the under-17s in 2022, including Athletico Paranaense, the former club of Bruno Guimaraes. It is worth noting that OL's winter recruit, Jeffinho, was also trained in Resende.
