Mercato OL: Aouar joins AS Roma

Having reached the end of his contract with Olympique Lyonnais on June 30, Houssem Aouar (24) has signed for AS Roma, according to several sources.

Jose Mourinho's Roma have signed their first summer signing. As revealed by Sky Italia last night, Houssem Aouar has signed for the Roman club, who will make the news official on Tuesday. In France, the news is confirmed by L'Equipe. According to Fabrizio Romano, Aouar has signed a contract until June 2028 with La Louve.

Trained at OL, Aouar has played in just 18 matches this season, mainly due to a number of physical problems, and will be keen to bounce back in Rome next season, having decided in recent months to change his sporting nationality and represent the colors of Algeria at international level.
