Mercato OL: Luis Castro to Al-Nassr, Caçapa to Botafogo
Portuguese coach Luis Castro has accepted an offer from Saudi club Al-Nassr, and Botafogo have decided to temporarily replace him with OL assistant coach Claudio Caçapa.
Leading the Brazilian league after 12 rounds, John Textor's Botafogo confirmed overnight the decision of their Portuguese coach Luis Castro "to accept an offer from a foreign club". The club in question is Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr, where Castro will coach his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo.
And to replace his coach, John Textor has decided to help himself to his other club, OL. Brazilian Claudio Caçapa, a former Lyon defender and assistant coach for several years, has been appointed interim coach of Botafogo, while the Rio club find a new coach.

"Claudio Caçapa, who is tied to OL until 2024, remains an integral part of the club's project. The Brazilian will return to Laurent Blanc's staff at the end of his mission", reads the OL press release.
