Mercato OL: PSG interested in Bradley Barcola
According to Fabrizio Romano, Lyon's young striker Bradley Barcola has caught the eye of PSG and Leipzig after an outstanding first half-year in 2023.
At the age of 20, Bradley Barcola is the latest nugget to emerge from Lyon's academy. Little used by Peter Bosz at the start of last season, the Lyon winger has come into his own under Laurent Blanc, scoring 7 goals in 2023, plus 10 assists.
These performances have helped Barcola secure his place at the Euro Espoirs, where he has already scored two goals and provided an assist (Les Bleuets take on Ukraine this Sunday).
PSG and Leipzig interested in Barcola
Unsurprisingly, Barcola is starting to make a name for himself, and several big clubs are interested in him. According to Fabrizio Romano, PSG and RB Leipzig have enquired about the terms of a potential transfer.

No decision yet as OL hope to keep the player but both clubs are informed on Barcola situation. pic.twitter.com/YK4uxM4IUX
The Italian journalist specifies that OL would like to keep him and that no decision has been taken at this stage, but we also know that John Textor needs cash and it would not be surprising if he sacrificed his hope in the event of a good offer.
Paris targets a right-winger
For their part, PSG are looking for a new centre-forward as well as a right-winger. Bernardo Silva is the priority for the right-winger position, but it looks as complicated as it is expensive. Could this explain Paris' interest in the young Lyon player?
For its part, Leipzig risks losing its versatile attacking midfielder <a href=/news/mercato-liverpool-speed-up-for-szoboszlai>Dominik Szoboszlai, who is about to be transferred to Liverpool for 70 million euros. The German club also lost French striker Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea this summer.
