Mercato OL: Textor has signed a €6m first recruit

Olympique Lyonnais have completed the transfer of Sochaux midfielder Skelly Alvero (21), according to L'Equipe.

As revealed yesterday by Foot Mercato, Lyon's interest in Skelly Alvero (21 ), the imposing midfielder from Sochaux, was genuine, and is about to result in a transfer - OL's first of the summer mercato. According to L'Equipe, Lyon have completed the transfer of the 2m02 player for 6 million euros: 4.5 million euros 1.5 million euros in bonuses.

Skelly Alvero to sign 5-year deal with OL

Skelly Alvero, who can play as a defensive midfielder as well as a relay midfielder, passed his medical in Lyon on Tuesday morning and will sign a five-year contract with OL, running until June 2028, according to the daily sports newspaper. Alvero made 33 appearances for Sochaux last season, including 32 in Ligue 2.

L'Equipe's Lyon correspondent Hugo Guillemet explained on Twitter that Skelly Alvero is not the holding defensive midfielder OL are looking for, but rather a rotational player with a promising future.
