Chelsea and PSG have inquired about Manu Koné

Chelsea and PSG have made inquiries about the French-Ivorian midfielder Manu Koné (Borussia Mönchengladbach) according to the German press.

Author of a great season with Borussia Monchengladbach, Manu Kone (21) will animate the next summer transfer window, as confirmed by Telefoot last Sunday by stating that his summer departure was already decided and that his valuation was estimated at €45m.

This Wednesday, the German media SportBild reports on the case of the French U23 international and reveals that the agents of Manu Kone have recently met with the sporting director of Gladbach, Roland Virkus, to discuss a potential transfer this summer.

"Borussia made it clear that the transfer fee would be significantly higher than the current market value of the defensive midfielder (€25 million)" writes SportBild, adding that PSG and Chelsea have made inquiries. According to SportBild, Manu Kone dreams of the Premier League, but the fact that his family lives in the Paris region could play in favor of PSG.

In an recent interview with Bild, Manu Koné revealed that Chelsea was one of his two favorite clubs as a child: "The clubs I loved as a child? Real Madrid and Chelsea. Real, because that's where Cristiano Ronaldo played. And Chelsea, because Didier Drogba was there. They were my idols."

For Téléfoot, Manu Koné also said he was flattered by the interest of PSG: "It's very flattering, it makes me very happy! It remains a great club that plays the Champions League with great players: Mbappé, Neymar, Messi ... So by playing alongside them, you can only progress. But after that, it's a truth that I'm at Mönchengladbach. You have to remain lucid and professional."
