Replaced by Thomas Tuchel last March, but still under contract at Bayern Munich until 2026, Julian Nagelsmann could cost PSG almost 10 million euros.

PSG notified Christophe Galtier on Tuesday that he would no longer be their coach next season, and the two parties will now have to reach an agreement to settle the final year of the Frenchman's contract, which was due to earn around €8 million gross next season, excluding bonuses, according to L'Equipe.

The Parisian club will also be stepping up talks with Julian Nagelsmann on Wednesday to convince him to join the French capital. According to L'Equipe, it is Nasser Al-Khelaïfi who has taken the matter in hand, and he is due to meet the German coach in the next few hours.

Nagelsmann still under contract at Bayern

In Germany, Bavarian daily TZ reports that Bayern Munich are expected to demand between €8 and €10 million to release Julian Nagelsmann. Nagelsmann was dismissed in March and replaced by Thomas Tuchel, but his contract runs until 2026 and has not been terminated.

Since Bayern Munich have every interest in getting rid of his contract, estimated at €8m per year, it's possible that PSG will have some leeway to "recruit" Nagelsmann for a price lower than the €8-10m mentioned by TZ. Before that happens, however, the Parisian club will have to convince the 35-year-old coach to come to the club.
