Mercato PSG: Christophe Galtier to receive a handsome cheque
Initially under contract until June 2024, Christophe Galtier has reached an agreement with PSG regarding his severance package.
On Tuesday, PSG informed Christophe Galtier that he would no longer be their coach next season. The Parisian club has still not made his departure official. The reason for this is that PSG had been negotiating a "rupture conventionnelle" with their coach since last week.
Galtier to receive €6m after his departure
According to Le Parisien, the two parties have reached an agreement, and Galtier will receive a handsome cheque for €6 million. However, according to the regional daily, this is less than the compensation to which he was entitled, given that his salary at PSG was estimated at €600,000 gross per month, or €7.2 million per annum.
With this departure completed, PSG are now working on the appointment of a new coach, and have set their sights on Julian Nagelsmann, who continues to receive his Bavarian salary despite his dismissal in March. Christophe Galtier, meanwhile, has been rumoured to be in the sights of Napoli and... OM.
