Mercato PSG: Mbappé has made a big decision for his future!

Under contract at PSG until June 2024, with an additional year as an option, Kylian Mbappé is not expected to exercise the option in his contract according to L'Equipe, thus increasing the pressure on his leaders.

Originally expiring in June 2022, Mbappé's contract had been extended last May until June 2024, with an additional year as an option at the player's discretion. In its edition of the day, L'Equipe tells us that Mbappé has until July 31, 2023 to activate this option.

A decision that will put pressure on PSG

And according to the French sports daily, the big trend is that Mbappé does not activate this option and is therefore free to leave PSG on June 30, 2024. What to increase the pressure on PSG, which should not miss this summer and finally keep its promise to build a coherent team around its French star.

After having already managed once the tour de force to extend Mbappé only a few weeks before the end of his contract, PSG does not intend to give in to panic if the decision of his number 7 not to activate his optional year is confirmed. And whatever he decides in the next few days, Paris will not sell him this summer.

PSG will then have a year to convince him of the seriousness of its project and of the merits for him to stretch his current juicy contract longer. There is no doubt that the rumors sending Mbappé to Real Madrid or the Premier League will intensify in the coming months if he has only a few months left on his contract.
