Mercato PSG: Mbappé's big announcement at the UNFP Trophées

Crowned Ligue 1's best player for the 2022-2023 season, Kylian Mbappé received his UNFP trophy on Sunday evening and took the opportunity to make a big announcement about his future.

And four for Kylian Mbappé. A new record. As in 2019, 2021 and 2022, PSG's number 7 was crowned Ligue 1's best player by his peers this year, scoring 28 league goals with one match to go and making a major contribution to PSG's 11th French league title.

"I've got a contract, I'll be here next year".

Asked about his future after receiving his trophy, Kylian Mbappé sent a very clear message: "We're not talking too much about my future this year? That's good, isn't it? Am I happy with my choice last year? I'm very happy, I'm here, I'm enjoying it. The most important thing is that I'm a better player. I've got a contract, I've still got next year. I'll be here and I'll be very happy.

Under contract at PSG until June 2024, <a href=/news/mercato-psg-mbappe-has-made-a-big-decision-for-his-future>with an additional year as an option that he would not wish to activate at the moment, Kylian Mbappé will therefore indeed be a Parisian next season. This should put an end to the rare rumours of a possible transfer to Real Madrid this summer.

As for the rest, Mbappé insisted that he only had one year left on his contract. It's up to PSG to convince him to extend his contract in the coming months...

Paris Saint Germain
