Mercato Real: Brazil announces Ancelotti for 2024
The President of the Brazilian Football Association has confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti will take over as coach of the Seleção in the summer of 2024, once his contract at Real Madrid has expired.
After being knocked out of the last World Cup by Croatia in the quarter-finals, and then recently beaten in friendlies by Morocco and Senegal, Brazil have appointed a new interim coach for one year. The new coach is Brazilian Fernando Diniz, who will continue to coach Fluminense at the same time.

He succeeds Ramon Menezes, who took over from Tite after the World Cup. Once Diniz's interim period is over, Carlo Ancelotti will take charge of the Seleção for the Copa América, to be held in the USA from June 20 to July 16, 2024, as confirmed by CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues.
Ancelotti to coach his first national team
Having reached the end of his contract at Real Madrid next June, the Italian coach will sign with Brazil until the 2026 World Cup, to be held in the USA, Mexico and Canada. He will be reunited with a number of players he knows well, including Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Eder Militão and Casemiro.

Carlo Ancelotti, 64, is no stranger to the game. He has won the Champions League 4 times, and the English, Italian, Spanish, German and French championships, but has never coached a national team. There's a first time for everything.
