Mercato: Rennes makes €5.5 million sale official
The promising French midfielder Andy Diouf (19) is leaving Stade Rennais for the Swiss club on loan with an option to buy.
The Stade Rennais made official this Tuesday the sale of its promising Franco-Senegalese midfielder Andy Diouf (19 years). Loaned last summer to FC Basel, with an option to buy estimated by Ouest-France at 5.5 million euros, Andy Diouf has imposed himself and revealed himself in Switzerland (51 games played already this season), to the point of being selected in the French U-21 team last March.

FC Basel has not hesitated to lift the purchase option it had and has signed a contract until June 2027 to Andy Diouf. The Swiss club has also permanently recruited the Swiss striker Zeki Amdouni (22), who was on loan with an option to buy from Lausanne and who scored twice against OGC Nice in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals.
