Mercato Sevilla: Monchi confirms recruitment of Badé
In the euphoria of Sevilla FC's Europa League victory, sporting director Monchi has confirmed the recruitment of Loïc Badé from Rennes.
Loïc Badé (23) spent last summer on loan at Nottingham Forest from Stade Rennais, but failed to make an impact in the Premier League, and was loaned out to Sevilla the following winter, where he made a string of first-team appearances and won the Europa League on Wednesday evening against AS Roma.
Rennes to recoup €12m for Badé
His loan to Sevilla included a €12 million purchase option, which the Andalusian club have already exercised. In the euphoria of winning the Europa League, the French central defender asked his sporting director to recruit him permanently. " We've already bought you," replied Monchi.

The scene was filmed and broadcast live by Loïc Badé on his social networks. It should be noted that the former Lens player, who has been called up by Sylvain Ripoll for the Euro Espoirs, <a href=/news/mercato-psg-digs-a-new-defensive-track-in-la-liga>was recently linked with PSG by the Spanish press. A move that has not yet been confirmed in France.
