Mercato: verbal agreement between Lens and Al Nassr for Seko Fofana
Lens captain Seko Fofana is set to join Saudi club Al-Nassr, home of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Revealed at the start of the week, Saudi club Al Nassr's interest in Seko Fofana is now confirmed. According to Foot Mercato, a verbal agreement has been reached between Cristiano Ronaldo's team and RC Lens regarding the transfer of the 28-year-old Franco-Ivorian midfielder. According to American journalist James Benge, who has been well-informed about Saudi clubs since the start of the mercato, the clubs have agreed a deal worth €22 million plus bonuses.
Seko Fofana, whose contract with Lens was extended last year until 2025, has also reached an agreement with Al Nassr, according to FM. RMC Sport reports a salary of between 10 and 15 million euros for the Lens captain, who is now close to joining Saudi Arabia.
