The 35-year-old Argentine world champion will not be able to play or train for two weeks and will therefore miss the next two matches of PSG in Ligue 1 this Sunday at Troyes and then against Ajaccio the following weekend. A strong decision at the sporting level at a time when the Parisian club is playing for the title and has only five points ahead of its runner-up Marseille.
According to RMC Sport and L'Equipe, Messi will not be paid by PSG during the next two weeks, which should save nearly 1.5 million euros to the Parisian club. After such a sanction, it is difficult to imagine Messi and PSG extending their collaboration at the end of the current season.
