N'Golo Kanté about to buy a Belgian club?
On the verge of signing an XXL contract in Saudi Arabia, N'Golo Kanté is also in the process of recruiting a Belgian club, according to the local press.
At the end of his contract at Chelsea, French world champion <a href=/news/mercato-chelsea-kante-to-sign-today-in-saudi-arabia>N'Golo Kanté is set to continue his career in Saudi Arabia, where a lucrative contract worth an estimated €100 million a year awaits him at Al-Ittihad (Karim Benzema's new club), according to several corroborating sources.

And according to the Belgian press, Kanté could invest some of this money... in Belgium. According to media outlet L'Avenir, representatives of the French international are in talks with the board of Excelsior Virton, a club that has just been relegated to the Belgian third division.

This information was confirmed by Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who even spoke of a takeover being finalized. "Excelsior Virton's owner and boss - Flavio Becca - is expected to stay on while the current (legal) affairs are sorted out, before handing over to N'Golo Kante and his associates. The Belgian FA has already been informed of the sale process", adds the source.
