Author of a great season with the Gunners (14 goals and 11 assists), the 21-year-old England international has been playing at Arsenal since he was 8 years old and his extension is therefore highly symbolic for the London club, which will finish the Premier League season in second place.
"Saka has become one of the best young players in the world"
"It has been a pleasure to work with everyone to extend Bukayo's contract It is a proud moment for all of us at the club, working hard with Bukayo and experiencing his great journey from our academy to our first team. Bukayo has become one of the best young players in the world and we are looking forward to the next stage of his career together," said Edu, the Arsenal sporting director.
Mikel Arteta was also delighted with the extension: "It's good for the club that Bukayo has extended his contract. Retaining our best young talent is key to our progress and Bukayo is an important part of our team now and in the future. In addition to being a fantastic talent, Bukayo is a special person, loved by all and a credit to himself and his family for the hard work and commitment they have all put in to get to this level today. Along with our supporters, we look forward to seeing Bukayo continue his development with us in the years to come."
