Official: David Guion extends his contract with Girondins de Bordeaux
Girondins de Bordeaux announced on Friday the contract extension of their coach David Guion and his staff.
Having come within a whisker of promotion to Ligue 1 this season, Girondins de Bordeaux will have to wait at least another year for their return to the top flight. To achieve this, the club with the scapular has decided to maintain its confidence in David Guion and his staff, who have extended their Bordeaux adventure until 2024, with an additional year as an option in the event of promotion.

Formerly coach of Stade de Reims, Guion arrived at Bordeaux during the 2021-2022 season to try and keep the Girondins in Ligue 1. He was unable to do so, but remained at the club this season in Ligue 2.
In a press release, Girondins are delighted to be continuing their adventure with David Guion, "an experienced technician who knows the club, its players and the potential of the training center inside out."
