Chelsea's Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has officially signed for Saudi club Al-Ahli.
Crowned the world's best goalkeeper in January 2022, after winning the Champions League with Chelsea a few months earlier, Senegal international Edouard Mendy (31) is leaving the Blues and joining Saudi Arabia, like his former team-mates Kalidou Koulibaly (Al-Hilal) and N'Golo Kanté (Al-Ittihad).
Edouard Mendy signed on Wednesday until June 2026 with Al-Ahli, one of the four Saudi clubs in which the PIF (Saudi public investment fund) invested this summer. His transfer is expected to bring in around €18.5m for the Blues, who continue to downsize.
