Official: Furlan joins Caen
Fifth in Ligue 2 at the end of the 2022-2023 season, Stade Malherbe Caen have found a replacement for Stéphane Moulin, and it's Jean-Marc Furlan, a specialist in Ligue 1 ascents.
Caen has a new coach. Free since his dismissal from Auxerre last October, Jean-Marc Furlan (65) has signed a contract until June 2025 with Stade Malherbe, who finished 5th in Ligue 2 at the end of last season under Stéphane Moulin.
"What I like is to get the players to adhere to the playing protocols and develop an identity for the people, so that people also want to adhere," confided Furlan during his presentation, who will attempt to secure his 6th Ligue 1 promotion at Caen after Troyes (2005, 2012, 2015), Brest (2019) and Auxerre (2022).
