Official: Julian Alvarez extends his contract with Manchester City
After scoring 10 goals in his first season in Europe, the Argentinean world champion Julian Alvarez has extended his contract at Manchester City until June 2028.
In the pipeline for several days, the extension of Julian Alvarez is official. Nicknamed the spider, the 23-year-old Argentine striker scored 10 goals in 33 appearances this season with the Citizens, who decided to reward him for his performances at the club but also for his great World Cup by offering him a new contract until 2028 with an increased salary.

"This is a very proud moment for me and my family. For a club like City to put their faith in me like this is amazing. I have been really pleased with my first season here, but I have plenty more I can do. I know I can be better, and City offer me everything I need to fulfil my potential." reacted the former River Plate player.
A few days ago, Argentine and Spanish media had speculated about a possible departure of Julian Alvarez this summer. Although Erling Haaland is often preferred by Pep Guardiola, the Argentine international plays regularly at Manchester City and a summer departure seems unlikely. In any case, his contractual situation is now protected.
