Official: Leeds replace Javi Gracia with Sam Allardyce
Two and a half months after appointing him, Leeds United has parted ways with Spanish coach Javi Gracia and replaced him with the experienced Sam Allardyce.
Leeds United, who were beaten 4-1 by Bournemouth at the weekend, have decided to part ways with their Spanish coach Javi Gracia, who was appointed on February 21 to replace Jesse Marsch.
Leeds United have won only three games out of 12 under Javi Gracia and are in a worrying 17th place in the Premier League with four games to go, level on points with first relegation spot Nottingham Forest.
To try to save themselves, Leeds United decided to appoint the experienced Sam Allardyce (68), who was free for almost two years and his failed maintenance operation with West Bromwich Albion. But the English coach has managed more than 500 Premier League games in his career and has already managed to maintain Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Everton.

Sam Allardyce's mission will be complicated, however, as Leeds will play Manchester City this weekend, before facing Newcastle, West Ham and Tottenham.
Note that Leeds United also parted on Tuesday with its Spanish sporting director Victor Orta, who had arrived at the club in 2017 and had notably participated in the club's rise to the Premier League with Marcelo Bielsa.
