Four days after dismissing Patrick Vieira, Crystal Palace announced the return of Roy Hodgson to the bench.
To succeed Patrick Vieira, who was dismissed last Friday, Crystal Palace decided to trust the experienced Roy Hodgson (75 years), who had already coached the Eagles from 2017 to 2021 before leaving for Watford in the second half of last season.

Beaten by Arsenal 4-1 last weekend, without Patrick Vieira on the bench, Crystal Palace is 12th in the Premier League after 28 games played and remains on a 4-game losing streak.
Roy Hodgson, who signed until the end of the season, commented on his return to Crystal Palace on the website of the London club: "It is a privilege to be asked to return to the club, which has always meant so much to me, and to be given the important task of turning the team’s fortunes around. Our sole objective now is to start winning matches, and to get the points necessary to ensure our Premier League status."
