Official: Rudi Garcia joins Napoli
While Christophe Galtier was expected to leave PSG, Rudi Garcia was chosen by Napoli to succeed Luciano Spalletti.
A few weeks after being sacked by Al-Nassr, Rudi Garcia has made a prestigious move to Napoli. Reigning Italian champions Napoli have been searching for a new coach since the departure of Luciano Spalletti, and in recent days have hesitated between Christophe Galtier, Rudi Garcia and Paulo Sousa.

In the end, Rudi Garcia, former coach of LOSC, OM and OL, was chosen. Compared to Galtier, who has not yet officially left PSG, Garcia has the advantage of being free and of knowing Serie A well, having coached AS Roma from July 2013 to January 2016. Rudi Garcia also has experience of the Champions League, a competition in which he reached the semi-finals with OL in 2020.
"What a pleasure to return to Italy"
"What a pleasure to embrace the Napoli project. What a pleasure to be back in Italy. I'm more motivated and ambitious than ever to continue wearing the colors of the Italian champion," Rudi Garcia reacted on Twitter.
According to Sky Italia, the French coach has signed a two-year contract with Napoli, with an option for a third year.
