Official: Sampaoli fired by Sevilla
Disappointing 14th in La Liga, Sevilla FC made official this Tuesday the dismissal of Jorge Sampaoli.
As announced by the Spanish press on Monday, Jorge Sampaoli is no longer the coach of Sevilla FC, where he had returned last October after a first term in the 2016-2017 season. But his second Andalusian adventure was a resounding failure and the former OM coach was officially dismissed on Tuesday.

Since his return to Sevilla last October, Jorge Sampaoli has managed 31 matches with a record of 13 wins, 6 draws and 12 defeats. His team has qualified for the quarterfinals of the Europa League, but is in a worrying 14th place in La Liga, only two points ahead of the red zone.
Sevilla said in its press release that its new coach should be known later today and lead the day's session, scheduled for 6pm. Barring any surprises, it will be the Basque Jose Luis Mendilibar, free since his departure from Alavés last April.
