Official: Toulouse recruits Dutch winger
Following the signing of Spanish midfielder César Gelabert, Toulouse made the recruitment of Dutch winger Ibrahim Cissoko official on Thursday evening.
TéFéCé moves on. After signing Spanish midfielder César Gelabert, who was at the end of his contract at CD Mirandés, Toulouse has announced the signing of young Dutch winger Ibrahim Cissoko (20), scorer of 2 goals in 26 Eredivisie appearances this season for NEC Nijmegen.
In the Ville Rose, Cissoko will be joined by compatriots Zakaria Aboukhlal (born in the Netherlands, but playing for Morocco) and Thijs Dallinga. According to specialist website LesViolets.com, Cissoko has signed a four-year deal with Toulouse, running until 2026, and will cost the recent French Cup winners €2.5m.
"I'm a winger, but I can also play in the number 10 position"
"I'm very happy, after playing at Nijmegen, it's a big step for me to come to Toulouse, I'm really very happy. I'm a winger, but I can also play in the number 10 position, where I do well. I really want to score for TéFéCé. I know there are other Dutch players in the team, Zakaria Aboukhlal, Thijs Dallinga, so I hope I'll have a good relationship with them. I'm going to give everything I've got to score as many goals as possible and have a good season with Toulouse", confided TFC's new recruit.
It's worth noting the brilliant announcement by the Toulouse club to make this recruit official.
