Official: Valérien Ismaël on the Watford bench

Free since his dismissal from Besiktas last October, the French coach Valerian Ismael (47) bounced back to Watford.
Valérien Ismaël is back in England. Former coach of Barnsley and West Bromwich Albion, the 47-year-old French coach has been appointed to the bench of the London club Watford, which ended its Championship season in 11th place.
The former Strasbourg and Bayern Munich central defender succeeds Chris Wilder, who replaced Slaven Bilic in March. The duration of Valérien Ismaël's contract was not specified by Watford. The Frenchman is already the 11th coach of the Hornets since September 2019.
