OL has completed its second recruit of the mercato
Olympique Lyonnais are to acquire Brugge's Angolan right-back Clinton Mata (30), according to a number of corroborating sources.
In search of an experienced right-back to accompany the progress of 18-year-old Saël Kumbedi, Lyon have found their match in Belgium. As revealed by Belgian media outlet HLN and confirmed by L'Equipe, Clinton Mata is set to sign for Lyon.

The 30-year-old Angolan right-back will leave Brugge for 5 million euros and sign a three-year deal with OL, having arrived in Lyon on Tuesday for his medical. Unless something goes wrong during the medical, Clinton Mata will be Lyon's second recruit of the summer, after midfielder Skelly Alvero of Sochaux, whose arrival has been completed but is not yet official.
According to the Belgian press, Club Brugge could replace Clinton Mata with their former player Thomas Meunier (ex PSG), who has just one year left on his contract at Borussia Dortmund.
