OM and Marcelino reach agreement
Marcelino will be OM's next coach. The Spaniard has reached an agreement with his friend Pablo Longoria in recent hours.
Marseille fans can rest easy: their next coach has finally been found, and it won't be Christophe Galtier. After the failures of Gallardo and Fonseca, Marseille have gone for Spanish coach Marcelino (57), who has been available since leaving Athletic Bilbao last year.
According to RMC Sport and Fabrizio Romano, as well as several other French media, an agreement was reached on Tuesday night between Pablo Longoria and Marcelino, who have known each other for several years and are very close.

The agreement covers a two-year contract until June 2025. The formalization of this agreement should not be long in coming. The end of a long soap opera.
Marcelino's first experience outside Spain
A former Valencia, Villarreal and Bilbao player, Marcelino will be enjoying his first coaching experience outside Spain, having won a Spanish Cup with Valencia and a Spanish Supercup with Athletic Bilbao.
A renowned coach on the other side of the Pyrenees, Marcelino likes to play his teams in a flat 4-4-2 formation, which promises a lively summer mercato for Marseille, who had a squad cut out for Igor Tudor's 3-4-2-1.
