PSG-Naples duel for Luis Enrique
Free since his departure from the Spanish national team at the end of the last World Cup, Luis Enrique is announced as the priority of PSG and Napoli for the next season.
The daily L'Equipe devoted a large report this Thursday on the coaching mercato and cited several leads for PSG, from Thiago Motta to Jose Mourinho, via Marcelo Gallardo, Zinedine Zidane or <a href=/news/psg-digs-a-new-track-in-brazil-for-its-bench>Abel Ferreira, the latest name to be associated with the succession of Christophe Galtier.
But according to Le Parisien, Luis Enrique is at the top of the list to sit on the Parisian bench this summer along with two other candidates, whose names are not specified but who are not unanimously supported internally according to the regional daily.
Luis Enrique has an attractive profile
Luis Enrique, 53 years old and an adept of the 4-3-3 system, has won everything with Barça, where he rubbed shoulders with Neymar, and has also coached AS Roma, Celta Vigo and the Spanish national team, with whom he did a very good job before the failure in Qatar and the elimination against Morocco, the future semi-finalists of the competition.
A few weeks ago, Luis Enrique was linked to Chelsea and then Tottenham, and for a few days now he has also been presented as a credible candidate for the Napoli bench, which has just been crowned Italian champion, but is expected to part company with Luciano Spalletti, who is on the outs with his president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

In today's edition, La Repubblica even presents "Lucho" as Napoli's priority, ready to offer him a two-year contract and a salary of 5 million euros net per year. An offer that PSG will probably be able to match or improve.
It remains to be seen what the main interested party thinks, who has not coached a club for six years, but has many strong points: an ability to manage egos, character and an attractive game plan.
