This is great news for AC Milan fans just before the European derby against Inter Milan. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and The Athletic in particular, Rafael Leão has signed a new contract with the Italian club until June 2028, four years longer than the old one.
Author of 13 goals and 13 assists this season with AC Milan, Rafael Leão should now receive a salary of 7 million euros net per season (plus 2 million in bonuses) according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, which adds that his release clause of 150 million euros has also been increased.
Rafael Leão has rejected approaches from Chelsea and Real Madrid to extend his stay at Milan. According to La Gazzetta, this extension was made possible by the fact that LOSC has settled its dispute with Sporting CP regarding Leão's free arrival in 2018.
