Real Madrid make Fran Garcia's return official

On Friday, Real Madrid confirmed the return to the club of left-back Fran Garcia, who has been with Rayo Vallecano for the past three years.

Pending confirmation of the transfer of Jude Bellingham, already made official by Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid have announced their first recruit of the summer mercato in the person of Fran Garcia, a 23-year-old Spanish left-back who trained at the club but left for Rayo Vallecano in 2020.

Considered one of La Liga's best in his position, Fran Garcia has signed a contract until June 2027 with Real Madrid, who have paid 5 million euros to repatriate their former player. He will compete with Ferland Mendy (or even replace him) and allow Eduardo Camavinga to play in his true position in midfield.
