Juventus could make a raid on OM

Igor Tudor, Pablo Longoria and Javier Ribalta, all three of whom have been with Juventus, are all very popular with the Italian club, which has been in the midst of a revolution since last November.

Eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage and from the French Cup in the quarterfinals by the modest team of Annecy, Igor Tudor's OM is having a great season in Ligue 1 and is currently in second place, seven points behind PSG.

This week, the Croatian coach gave a long and fascinating interview to L'Equipe in which he did not mention his future and a possible departure this summer, one year before the end of his contract. But in Italy, the Turin sports daily Tuttosport revealed this week that Juventus was thinking about him in case Massimiliano Allegri leaves this summer.

"Tudor is one of them"

Igor Tudor played almost 10 years at Juventus Turin as a central defender and then served as an assistant to Andrea Pirlo in the 2020-2021 season before taking over at Hellas Verona and then OM. If Allegri were to leave, the Tudor track is to be taken seriously. " He is one of them, he is part of the family," said a close friend of the Croatian to La Provence on Thursday.

According to the regional daily, Tudor is not the only Marseille man to please Juventus, which keeps a close eye on Pablo Longoria and Javier Ribalta. The current president of OM was director of recruitment for the Turin club from 2015 to 2018, while his current director of football at Marseille was responsible for scouting at Juve from 2012 to 2017.

If the Old Lady, mired in a major legal scandal since November, were to change coaches and managers this summer, it would not be incongruous that it would go after this Marseille trio. On the side of the french club, they prefer to have fun with these rumors and an informed observer of the Italian championship told La Provence that the Longoria-Ribalta duo was not among the hottest leads to form the future sporting direction of Juve.
